Publix vs Publix Sabor: Price and Item Differences for the Week 10/14/10 - 10/20/10

If you live in the Miami area, there are several Publix Sabor stores offering products and services catering to the Latin community. Some services include a full-service meat department (carniceria) with counter service (I know for sure us Cubans love our meat cut at the counter as opposed to pre-packaged).

Some differences between the Sabor stores and regular Publix stores are in pricing. The prices on many items (even sale items) run anywhere from $.20 - $.50 less at Publix Sabor. Not bad and definitely worth a trip to one of these locations if the items in question are at a "stock-up" price.

Here are a few items I'd like to point out from this week's sale ad:

-Red Seedless Grapes: $1.49 (P), $1.29 (PS)
-Royal Gala Apples: $1.29 (P), $.89 (PS)
-Del Monte Golden Ripe Pineapple: $2.99 each, 2/$5.00 (or $2.50 each)
-Bertolli Pasta Sauce BOGO: $3.07 (P), $2.99 (PS)
-Mueller's Pasta BOGO: $1.29 - $1.49 (P), $1.19 (PS)
-Kozy Shack Pudding BOGO: $3.17 (P), $2.99 (PS)

Publix Sabor also has Tampico Punch (128-oz bottle) for $.99! This is one of those items that aren't carried by all Publix stores, but many in the South FL area do. Less than a dollar for a gallon of citrus, tropical or mango juice is an awesome deal whether you're "latin" or not.

I'll post ad and item differences for Publix and Publix Sabor here every week for those in the Miami area.
